Beth Young was trained and certified as a Cotillion Director and franchise owner by The National League of Junior Cotillions in 1997. She directed the organization on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for several years, and received the NLJC national award for First Year Outstanding Public Relations. After relocating back home to southeast Louisiana, she presented etiquette and related programs through 4-H clubs, homeschool organizations, and community groups.
She has an educational background in communications, journalism, and marketing, and regularly continues her education as a Certified Etiquette Consultant. She was the first place Mississippi state winner, and third place national award winner at the Delta Epsilon Chi (now DECA) conference for her marketing and development plan presentation of her cotillion chapter. She is also a member of the International Association of Professional Etiquette Consultants, and the Chambers of Commerce in Zachary, Central, and West Feliciana.
Mrs. Young has held positions as the associate director of a youth theater organization, the marketing director of a shopping mall, a substitute teacher, and in the hospitality and tourism industry as a tour guide. She was also very active in parent-teacher organizations, holding several offices.
Beth resides in Zachary, LA, and saw the need for additional positive, social activities for her grandchildren and other children their age. She has now launched an independent cotillion program with contemporary adjustments to address the more current way of life, and tailored to reflect the hospitality and culture of the great state of Louisiana.
